AC MacKenzie's admiration for the often untapped and under-appreciated strength of young women as heroes and protagonists led her to write the series, No Stone Unturned, beginning in 1999 and lasting more than twenty sunrounds as her three daughters were growing up, lifting, exploring, and collecting  life's stones.

The first two books (one big fat book then) took fifteen years, being picked up and put down as they became important and faded into the background. They emerged from storage again to grow to five books. numbers six and seven have appeared as if by magic in the last two years during COVID19 when they provided an escape from the harsh realities of living alone during a pandemic. 

Book # 8 has provided reward and needed closure in the past three months while the trials of self-publishing threatened her sanity.
